Saidov meets Pakistani Foreign Minister Dar
Tashkent, April 2 (Hibya) - Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhitiyor Saidov discussed regional peace and diplomacy with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar.
Uzbek Foreign Minister Saidov held a phone call with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dar. During the call, efforts to ease current tensions in the Middle East and ensure regional stability were discussed.
Minister Saidov emphasized that the region should not turn into a conflict zone, highlighting that the five-point regional peace and stability initiative jointly proposed by Pakistan and China, along with diplomatic cooperation, are priority issues.
The situation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border was also assessed during the call; the parties welcomed efforts to reduce tensions and stressed the importance of maintaining communication to resolve issues through diplomatic means.
