Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly in Cairo, the capital of Egypt.

Saidov stated that during the meeting he conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

Noting that they discussed the development of the comprehensive partnership between Uzbekistan and Egypt, Saidov said, "We thoroughly reviewed the key issues related to further developing the comprehensive partnership between Uzbekistan and Egypt and expanding multifaceted cooperation."

Emphasizing the importance of trade, economic and investment cooperation, Saidov stated, "We focused on taking trade, economic and investment cooperation to a new level, expanding industrial cooperation, improving transport and logistics links, and implementing joint projects."

Referring to regional developments, Saidov added, "Uzbekistan highly values Egypt's efforts to promote peace and stability in the Middle East and its commitment to resolving issues through political and diplomatic means."
