Sybiha: Real diplomacy can only be achieved through strength
Kyiv, April 21 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha shared priorities regarding financial aid to Ukraine, new sanctions against Russia, and the EU integration process following the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that they focused on three main priorities during the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting.
Outlining the three key issues discussed, Sybiha said: “Removing obstacles to the €90 billion aid is an absolute priority. The EU has the necessary tools to finalize this this week. Delays only encourage the aggressor.”
Sybiha added: “We also need a strong 20th sanctions package. Cutting Russia’s war budget is a security necessity for all of Europe. Ukraine and Moldova are ready for integration; it is time to open the negotiation clusters.”
Stating that he informed his European counterparts about the situation on the ground, Sybiha said: “I provided information on the battlefield situation, peace efforts, and Ukraine’s asymmetric actions to reduce Russia’s terrorist potential.”
Emphasizing the importance of defense investments, Sybiha concluded: “Investments in our defense and air shields strengthen Ukraine’s position. Real diplomacy can only be achieved through strength.”
