Trump: Refineries are the determining factor in fuel prices
Washington, October 5 (Hibya) - U.S. President Donald Trump, commenting on gasoline prices in the country, claimed that price increases are no longer being driven by the Strait of Hormuz, but by attacks on refineries in Russia and the closure of some refineries in the United States.
U.S. President Donald Trump commented on rising gasoline prices. Trump said the amount of oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz is reaching record daily levels and stated that refineries are now the determining factor in fuel prices.
Trump said, “The factor driving gasoline prices higher is no longer the Strait of Hormuz. Because now a record number of barrels are coming through almost every day. The key word is ‘refineries.’ Russia’s refineries are being hit by Ukraine, while our refineries are being shut down in Democrat-run states such as California.”
