Tsahkna: Russia’s shadow fleet threatens both our security and environment
Tallinn, April 3 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that they welcome Sweden’s measures against Russia’s shadow fleet and support the rapid implementation of the European Union’s 20th sanctions package.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna expressed satisfaction with Sweden’s measures against Russia’s shadow fleet. Tsahkna said: “Russia’s shadow fleet consists of unsafe, uninsured vessels that often sail under false flags. This situation threatens both our security and our environment and fuels Russia’s war.”
Estonia announced that it supports the swift implementation of the EU’s 20th sanctions package targeting Russia’s energy revenues, maritime services, and shadow fleet. Tsahkna added: “We support stronger EU and global measures.”
