Türk: We need a decisive break from current climate finance policies
Brussels, June 28 (Hibya) – United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk criticized current climate finance policies in the fight against the climate crisis.
UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk criticized existing climate finance policies, noting that hundreds of billions of dollars continue to be invested in fossil fuels every year.
Türk said, "Countries on the front lines of the climate crisis are forced to go into debt simply to survive." He added, "We need a decisive break from today's failing climate finance policies."
