Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he had met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

In a statement shared on his social media account, Zelensky said the discussions focused on the situation in Ukraine and support for peace efforts.

Zelensky thanked the UAE for its support in the field of security, adding that Ukraine had made a significant contribution this year to the security of its partners in the Gulf region.

He also said the two leaders discussed the support the UAE could provide to Ukraine in Europe, particularly in the Black Sea region, as well as food security, the security of maritime routes, and measures to enhance the protection of human lives.

Zelensky added that joint projects between the two countries in various fields were also discussed.
