US Vice President JD Vance commented on the H-1B visa program.

Vance said the program's primary purpose is to allow US companies to hire skilled workers from abroad whose qualifications are not available domestically, stating: "The purpose of the H-1B visa program is to allow them to bring in truly the best of the best from outside the United States for positions that are absolutely impossible to fill with American workers."

Arguing that the program has been seriously abused in recent years, Vance stated: "Unfortunately, the program has become rife with fraud over the last few years, probably over the last few decades."
