Dutch Defense Minister Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius stated that space holds strategic importance in modern warfare.

Yeşilgöz-Zegerius said, “Whoever controls space also controls the battlefield. Satellites are the eyes and ears of our armed forces.”

Stating that investments will be made in satellite systems, Yeşilgöz-Zegerius said, “That is why we will make major investments in them.”

Emphasizing that these investments will strengthen the country's defense capabilities, Yeşilgöz-Zegerius added, “This will make us more independent, less dependent on others, and a stronger partner within NATO.”
