Zelensky: Sanctions pressure on Russia must be strengthened
Kyiv, July 10 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that during his meeting in Kyiv with U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, they discussed strengthening new sanctions against Russia and addressing Ukraine's air defense needs.

Zelensky noted that this was Graham's tenth visit to Ukraine and thanked him for his support. He said that strengthening Ukraine on the battlefield would increase the chances of success in the diplomatic process.
Zelensky stated that sanctions pressure on Russia should be intensified through new measures, adding that Graham briefed him on the progress of the relevant bill currently under consideration in the U.S. Congress.
Zelensky also said that Ukraine's urgent air defense needs were discussed during the meeting. He noted that during the NATO Summit in Ankara, he and U.S. President Donald Trump reached political agreements on the production of Patriot systems in Ukraine and stressed the importance of implementing this process.
