Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on the toll of the latest attacks targeting civilian and critical infrastructure across the country, as well as the ongoing emergency response efforts.

Addressing the details of the attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the casualties, Zelensky said, "Since last night, emergency response operations have been continuing to deal with the aftermath of Russia's attack on Zaporizhzhia. The city was struck by North Korean ballistic missiles, Zircons, and guided aerial bombs. It was a brutal attack specifically planned to cause maximum damage to civilian infrastructure."

Emphasizing that 6 people had lost their lives, Zelensky said, "Unfortunately, so far, 6 people have been reported killed and 19 injured in the city. My condolences go to their families and loved ones. First responders continue to extinguish a fire that broke out at one of the attack sites."

Reporting on the destruction in other cities and damage to energy infrastructure, Zelensky said, "In Kyiv, a missile attack damaged the building of an infectious diseases hospital and businesses. Drone terror continues almost every day in our frontline communities. In Kherson and Kharkiv, substations were struck overnight, causing power outages. All services are working to restore electricity to families. The Donetsk, Dnipro, and Mykolaiv regions were also attacked."

Drawing attention to the amount of ammunition used in the attacks, Zelensky concluded his statement by saying, "In addition to missiles, more than 120 drones were used against Ukraine, most of them jet-powered 'Shaheds'."
