Zelenskyy meets European Council President Costa
Kyiv, August 24 (Hibya) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that during his meeting in Kyiv with European Council President Antonio Costa, they discussed his country’s defense needs, financial support and protecting Ukrainian exports from Russian attacks.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy met European Council President Costa in Kyiv on the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine’s independence.
Zelenskyy said they discussed international and domestic policy in detail during the meeting. Noting that Costa was aware of Ukraine’s priority defense needs, Zelenskyy said they particularly discussed defense against ballistic missiles and financial support for the coming months.
Zelenskyy also said they discussed the problems facing Ukrainian exports due to Russia’s attacks on ports and the agricultural sector.
Zelenskyy stressed the importance of finding solutions to all these problems together with Europe and thanked Costa.
