Canadian Foreign Minister Anand made a statement after an arson attack targeting a defense company in Estonia was attributed to Russia.

In a social media post, Anand said Canada stood with Estonia following the attack.

Noting that the attack had been attributed to Russia, Anand alleged that Russia was trying to intimidate and divide countries and actors supporting Ukraine in its struggle to defend its sovereignty.

Anand said, “We will not be intimidated,” adding that Canada and its NATO allies would continue their strong support for Ukraine.

Anand said this message was reaffirmed at the “Paths to Peace” conference held in Toronto, Canada.

Canada and Estonia had previously held talks aimed at strengthening cooperation in security and defense. At the Canada-Nordic-Baltic meeting on September 22, the Canadian government highlighted the importance of continuing joint efforts against hybrid threats.
