Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei made strong remarks regarding the position of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi. Baqaei argued that the IAEA’s authority, based on technical expertise, impartiality and independence, had been transformed into a mechanism serving political justifications.

Baqaei said: “When IAEA reports become raw material for threat narratives and for building a political and legal case against a country, the line between technical oversight and preparing the ground for a military attack becomes dangerously blurred.”

Stating that the IAEA’s most valuable asset is its credibility as an impartial and independent authority, Baqaei said subjecting that credibility to political agendas risks turning the institution into a tool that legitimizes and facilitates aggression.

Baqaei said: “An institution tasked with contributing to international peace and security should not become part of a mechanism used to manufacture justifications for war.”

Arguing that responsibility for military attacks and war crimes cannot be limited solely to those who give the orders or carry out the attacks, Baqaei said those who make the aggressors’ actions possible politically, legally or evidentially should also be considered within the scope of accountability.
