Belgian Foreign Minister Prevot and EU Commissioner McGrath emphasize the rule of law
Evian, 16 June (Hibya) - Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot conveyed a message of cooperation with European Union (EU) Commissioner Michael McGrath on protecting and strengthening the EU’s core values during their meeting.
Belgian Foreign Minister Prevot met with EU Commissioner McGrath.
The meeting addressed the protection and strengthening of the values and principles that form the foundation of the European Union.
The parties emphasized that the rule of law, fundamental rights, and the protection of democratic institutions are a shared responsibility.
Prevot stressed that Belgium will continue to be a strong ally in defending and promoting EU values, and that Brussels’ support for this process will continue.
