Trump: Strait of Hormuz will be fully opened on Friday
Washington, 16 June (Hibya) - United States President Donald Trump made statements regarding the latest situation in the Strait of Hormuz during his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron at the G7 Summit.
According to a White House statement, Trump said about Macron: “Emmanuel is one of my special friends. We have had a great relationship. We have worked on many agreements together.”
Referring to maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said: “The strait has partially opened. Ships have started to leave. It will be fully opened on Friday.” His remarks point to a normalization process closely monitored by global energy and trade markets.
