New York, 16 June (Hibya) - United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres spoke about the security situation in Haiti.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres stated that gang violence has paralyzed Haiti, its economy, education system, and aid distribution, but stressed that the situation can still be reversed.
He said he met today with men and women of the Gang Suppression Force, noting that the deployment of this unit presents an important opportunity to reduce violence and restore security.
