Dar holds phone call with Brazilian Foreign Minister Ambassador Vieira
Islamabad, August 20 (Hibya) - Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Brazilian Foreign Minister Ambassador Mauro Vieira.

The call discussed developments in the U.S.-Iran context, Pakistan's mediation initiatives, global peace and security, and the further development of Pakistan-Brazil relations.
According to a statement from Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira appreciated Pakistan's constructive role and mediation efforts in the context of developments between the United States and Iran.
Vieira emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in ensuring global peace and security.
During the call, Vieira also congratulated Dar on the signing of the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement.
Dar thanked his Brazilian counterpart for his good wishes and said Pakistan appreciated Brazil's role in advancing South-South cooperation and strengthening peace and stability.
The two ministers emphasized the importance of continued high-level engagement and close coordination at the United Nations and other multilateral platforms. The parties reaffirmed their commitment to multilateralism, dialogue and diplomacy.
The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international developments and agreed to maintain contacts to further develop relations between Pakistan and Brazil.
The call also addressed strengthening diplomatic engagement through face-to-face meetings. Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar invited his Brazilian counterpart Mauro Vieira to visit Pakistan.
Brazilian Foreign Minister Vieira reciprocated by inviting Dar to visit Brazil.
The two ministers agreed to remain in close contact and further strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Brazil.
