Irish Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris emphasized the importance of listening to the concerns and demands of survivor groups, families, and activists regarding the project.

Clearly setting out his position on the proposed development at the Bessborough site, Harris said: "I have always spoken openly about my deep concern regarding the proposed development project at the Bessborough site."

Stressing that the concerns expressed by different sections of society should not be ignored, Harris said: "The concerns raised by survivor groups, families, activists, and the wider community are clear and consistent, and it is important that they are heard."
