Israel issued a written statement regarding the remarks of South Korean President Myung.

The statement said that Lee Jae Myung’s comments about the killing of Jews on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day were described as “unacceptable” and strongly condemned.

It was noted that Lee Jae Myung cited a social media account that presented an incident from 2024 as if it were recent, and it was alleged that the account spreads anti-Israel disinformation and false content.

The statement added that the incident occurred during an operation against terrorists and at a time when Israeli soldiers were under direct threat, and that the case had previously been thoroughly investigated.

The text also noted that Lee Jae Myung did not mention the terrorists at the center of the incident in his remarks and did not refer to attacks against Israel by Iran and Hezbollah.
