Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten emphasized that young people are important dialogue partners for the government on issues that closely concern their future.

Referring to the details of the meeting, Jetten said, "Today, I met with the Netherlands' UN youth representatives. We discussed various issues that will be addressed at the United Nations General Assembly next week, including peace and security, the international legal order and climate change."

Drawing attention to the manifesto presented by the youth representatives, Jetten said, "Emma and Niels presented me with the manifesto titled 'In the Eye of the Storm,' which has an extremely fitting title given the turbulent times we are living through."

Referring to the main themes of the manifesto, Jetten emphasized, "I wholeheartedly support the manifesto's core message — namely, the idea that peace and security are also about livelihood security, mental health and digital security."

Jetten concluded his statement by saying, "I will take their valuable views with me when I travel to New York next week."
