EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas stated that the status of the negotiations with the United States was also discussed and noted that she had also been in contact with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah.

Emphasizing that attacks against critical infrastructure in the region are unacceptable, Kallas said, “The resumption of attacks against Gulf countries and critical infrastructure is unacceptable.”

Kallas stated, “A slide into a full-scale war would come at a huge cost for the entire region,” adding that diplomacy is the only path to a solution.
