Prevot: Belgium’s position on the sovereignty of Congo is clear
Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot stated that his country's position regarding the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo has been misrepresented on social media.
Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot said that a recent post of his had been deliberately or unintentionally distorted, emphasizing that Belgium’s support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Democratic Republic of the Congo is not open to debate.
Prevot said, “Let there be no ambiguity; the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Democratic Republic of the Congo are not negotiable. There are neither conditions nor prerequisites.”
