European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib met with firefighters' unions from France, Luxembourg and Belgium, as well as representatives of the European Federation of Public Service Unions (FSESP), during the Civil Protection Forum.

Lahbib stated that she listened to firefighters' demands for improved working conditions, more training opportunities, greater sharing of information and experience, and increased professional recognition.

Expressing her support for the firefighters' demands, Lahbib emphasized that she stands with them.
