Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva announced that they had submitted the Tarifa Zero proposal to Congress, providing for free public transportation on weekends and public holidays.

Emphasizing that the proposal is linked to the goal of ending the six-day workweek with only one day of rest, Lula declared, "More time to live more!" Lula stated that guaranteeing two days of rest per week would give people more time to spend with their families, meet friends, and enjoy social life in their cities.

The Brazilian leader noted that the free public transportation proposal should be considered alongside the goal of improving working and rest conditions, stressing that they aim to enable people to devote more time to their personal lives.
