Palestine condemns Nauru's decision to open an embassy in Jerusalem
Ramallah, July 22 (Hibya) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced that it strongly condemns the decision of Nauru's Cabinet to open an embassy in Jerusalem.
In a written statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the decision by the Cabinet of the Pacific island nation of Nauru to open an embassy in occupied Jerusalem.
The statement described the decision by the Nauru government as an attack on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and a clear violation of United Nations (UN) resolutions and international law.
The Ministry called on the Nauru government to reverse its decision, stressing that all actions and measures carried out by the Israeli occupation authorities in Jerusalem are null and void under international law.
