Prevot: Rwanda and FDLR Measures Must Be Implemented Simultaneously
Brussels, June 6 (Hibya) - Belgian Deputy Prime Minister Maxime Prevot emphasized that the withdrawal of Rwandan forces from the region and the neutralization of the FDLR must be carried out together and swiftly in order to achieve lasting peace.
In his statement, Prevot said that Belgium fully supports this approach.
Emphasizing that the withdrawal of Rwandan forces and the neutralization of the FDLR must be simultaneous and rapid steps toward lasting peace, Prevot also highlighted the importance of uninterrupted access in the fight against Ebola, adding that preserving the ceasefire and ensuring the safety of civilians are more urgent than ever.
