Qatar Condemns Israeli Attack on the Lebanese Army
Doha, June 6 (Hibya) – The State of Qatar condemned the Israeli attack on a Lebanese Army patrol unit on the Hardali-Nabatieh road, which resulted in the deaths of two officers and one soldier.
In a statement issued by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the attack was described as a “dangerous escalation.” The statement stressed that the act constitutes a clear violation of the sovereignty of the brotherly Republic of Lebanon and of international law.
The Ministry made an urgent appeal to the international community to assume its responsibilities in stopping the repeated attacks by the Israeli occupation authorities against Lebanon, ensuring respect for international agreements and laws, and guaranteeing the full implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
