Qalibaf: Our criterion is the tangible gains we must achieve
Tehran, May 31 (Hibya) - Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf made a statement regarding the conditions for reaching an agreement with the United States.
According to CCTV, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf commented on the conditions for an agreement with the United States.
Qalibaf said that Tehran would not reach any agreement with the United States until the rights of the Iranian people are guaranteed.
According to the official news agency IRNA, speaking during an online parliamentary session, Qalibaf stressed that Iranian negotiators do not trust the words and promises of the "enemy."
Qalibaf stated that their criterion is the tangible gains they must obtain in return for fulfilling their commitments, adding that they will not approve any agreement until they are certain that the rights of the Iranian nation are secured.
Referring to Iran's "successes" on the battlefield, Qalibaf emphasized that the role of diplomacy is to transform these victories into political and legal achievements.
Warning that, in a new phase of conflict, adversaries are attempting to create internal unrest through economic pressure and media propaganda in order to force Iran into surrender, Qalibaf expressed confidence that the Iranian people would resist them.
