According to a statement from Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar hosted United Nations conferences including the 2008 International Follow-up Conference on Financing for Development, the 2012 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP18), the 2015 Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, the 2023 Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5), and the 2025 Second World Summit for Social Development.

The statement noted that the Doha Programme of Action for 2022-2031 was adopted at LDC5 in 2023, while the Doha Political Declaration was adopted at the 2025 summit and the Doha Platform for social development solutions was launched.

It was also reported that Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani announced a $60 million contribution, while Qatar approved a $10 million agreement in February 2025 to support implementation of the Doha Programme of Action.
