Washington, March 27 (Hibya) - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated at the G7 foreign ministers’ meeting that Iran acquiring nuclear weapons is unacceptable under any circumstances.

Rubio emphasized that this goal is a clear part of their mission and said it should be achieved in the current period with the contributions of partner countries.
The statement came in parallel with the G7 foreign ministers’ assessments of Iran’s nuclear program and regional security issues. G7 countries had previously reaffirmed their commitment to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons in joint statements.
