US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Strategic Civil Nuclear Cooperation with Paraguay.

In a post on his social media account, Rubio said the agreement represents an important step toward enhancing cooperation between the United States and Paraguay.

Rubio stated: "Signing the Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Civil Nuclear Cooperation with Paraguay marks another step in the continued growth of relations between our two countries."

Emphasizing the long-standing strong ties between the United States and Paraguay, Rubio said: "The United States and Paraguay have always shared strong ties, and now those ties have become even stronger."

The agreement is expected to contribute to the development of strategic cooperation between the two countries in the field of civilian nuclear energy.
