Stubb stated that the fundamental purpose of European integration is peace, prosperity, security, and stability, noting that European countries decided to unite their sovereignty in order to produce joint solutions to common problems.
Emphasizing that the European Union is not perfect but is one of the most important decisions made by European leaders after the Second World War, Stubb called for acting in unity.
Concluding his message with the words “Happy Europe Day,” Stubb stated that European countries should continue working together.
