Syria condemns Israel’s violations of Syrian territory
Damascus, October 4 (Hibya) - Syria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned Israel’s continued violations of Syrian territory and the completion of the project known as the “Sufa 53 Line.”
In a statement, Syria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said it condemned Israel’s continued violations of Syrian territory.
The statement said the completion of the project known as the “Sufa 53 Line” constitutes a clear violation of the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement and international legitimacy resolutions.
The statement said Israel’s continued aggressive approach and violations on the ground pose a direct threat to regional security and stability and noted that the provisions of international law are being violated.
The statement called on the international community to take deterrent measures to put an end to these practices and prevent their recurrence.
Syria reiterated its commitment to its legitimate right to exercise full sovereignty over all its territory in accordance with the principles of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions. The statement also called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities to protect the sovereignty of states and respect the inviolability of borders.
