Tsahkna: No signs Russia is preparing to attack NATO
Tallinn, August 13 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said Estonia or NATO has seen no signs that Russia is preparing a large-scale military attack against the alliance.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna commented on claims that Russia is preparing an attack, particularly against the Baltic states.
Tsahkna said that, under the current circumstances, Estonia and NATO have detected no indication that Russia is preparing a large-scale military attack against the alliance. He added that Estonia's threat assessment has not changed.
Tsahkna said Russia is struggling in its war in Ukraine and currently lacks the capacity required for such an attack, adding that NATO's deterrence is also keeping Russia from launching an attack.
Tsahkna stressed the need to remain vigilant and prepared for different types of provocations, noting that Estonia continues its preparations in this regard.
