Tom Fletcher, head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), issued a statement on what happened in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv following overnight attacks on the city.

Fletcher said he was in Kyiv on the night of the attacks, noting that numerous civilian structures were targeted.

Fletcher highlighted the impact of the attacks on civilians, saying: “I stayed in Kyiv last night as another wave of major attacks struck. Homes. A hospital. A school. At least 15 people were killed and more than 30 injured. A glimpse of the reality for so many people living through this war.”
