China emphasizes global connectivity: Our contributions will continue
China's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), Sun Lei, stated that China will continue its contributions to strengthening global connectivity.
As part of the 2026 UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, a side event titled "UN Decade of Sustainable Transport" was held in New York on July 8.
Speaking at the meeting, Sun Lei noted that 2026 marks the launch year of the "UN Decade of Sustainable Transport" initiative.
Sun Lei called on all parties to enhance connectivity, strengthen ties among peoples, and jointly promote green development.
Emphasizing that China has actively contributed to global sustainable transport efforts, Sun Lei stated that his country will continue making greater contributions to global efforts aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
