Portuguese Foreign Minister Rangel meets with Cape Verdean Foreign Minister Rosa
Lisbon, July 9 (Hibya) - Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel discussed bilateral relations and areas of cooperation with Cape Verde's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Communities and National Defense, Manuel Amante da Rosa.
According to a statement issued by the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel received Cape Verde's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Communities and National Defense, Manuel Amante da Rosa, at the Necessidades Palace in Lisbon.
According to the statement, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and discussed further strengthening cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, trade, education and vocational training.
The parties also discussed preparations for the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), reaffirming the organization's importance in today's diplomatic and geopolitical environment.
The statement added that Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel also congratulated the Cape Verde national football team on its performance at the FIFA World Cup, noting that the achievement had contributed to enhancing the country's international visibility.
