Qatari Prime Minister Al Thani chaired Qatar’s delegation at the Lucerne Summit
Lucerne, June 21 (Hibya) - Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani chaired the Qatari delegation at the Lake Lucerne Summit attended by representatives of the United States, Iran, and Pakistan.
Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani chaired the Qatari delegation at the Lake Lucerne Summit and the first meeting of the High-Level Committee held in Lucerne, Switzerland.
The statement noted that the memorandum of understanding signed this week between the United States and Iran was the result of months of mediation efforts and emphasized that the agreement represents an important turning point in reducing tensions and strengthening stability in the region.
The meeting was also attended by U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. Al Thani stated that Qatar, together with Pakistan, will continue to support dialogue, confidence-building measures, and solutions based on international law.
