IDF destroys Hezbollah underground tunnel in southern Lebanon
Jerusalem, April 13 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that during operations in southern Lebanon, fighters from the Yahalam Unit and the 7th Brigade identified and destroyed an underground tunnel used by Hezbollah.
In the IDF statement, it was said that the structure in question had been used for activities against Israeli forces and was rendered unusable after inspections.
It was reported that fighters from the Yahalam Unit and the 7th Brigade destroyed a Hezbollah underground tunnel in southern Lebanon.
It was also announced that forces from the 13th Battalion, under the command of the 7th Brigade combat team, continue their operations in southern Lebanon.
The statement included the following remarks:
“As part of an operation in the area, battalion forces, in cooperation with the Yahalam Unit, destroyed an underground tunnel used by Hezbollah terrorists to carry out terrorist activities against IDF forces. The tunnel was destroyed after inspections were conducted inside it. The IDF will continue to operate forcefully against the Hezbollah terrorist organization and will not allow harm to come to the citizens of the State of Israel.”
