Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson issued a message on the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks carried out in the United States on September 11, 2001. Kristersson said the 2,977 people who lost their lives in the attacks are being remembered.

Kristersson said: “Today, as 25 years have passed since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, we remember the 2,977 people who lost their lives that day.”

Kristersson said Sweden, as a friend and ally of the United States, joins the American people in remembering those who lost their lives in the attacks, adding: “We honor everyone affected by this tragedy.”
