Sharif: The Makkah Joint Defense Agreement is a historic step
Islamabad, August 7 (Hibya) - Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement signed by Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan will contribute to peace, security, and prosperity.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in a statement that he was honored to sign the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement alongside President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Sharif stated that the three brotherly countries have united around the values of faith, friendship, peace, and security, expressing his hope that the agreement signed in the shadow of the Two Holy Mosques will serve as a shield of peace for future generations and bring prosperity to the three countries and the Islamic world.
Sharif also thanked Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, expressing his appreciation for his efforts and contributions to the implementation of the agreement.
