Sybiha: UN is failing to fulfill its mission of maintaining peace and security
Kyiv, October 24 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated on United Nations Day that the UN system for maintaining peace and security has failed, while thanking the organization for its support to Ukraine.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said in a statement marking United Nations Day that the organization has drifted away from its fundamental objectives established 81 years ago.
Sybiha stated that the commitment to save future generations from the devastation of war has not been fulfilled, emphasizing that this is a matter of life and death for Ukrainians facing Russian attacks.
Sybiha also noted that the UN has demonstrated what countries can achieve when they work together and thanked the organization for the vital support it has provided to millions of Ukrainians.
