Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov explained at the meeting how long-term investments in key infrastructure such as the Port of Baku and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway provide landlocked countries with access to global markets along the Middle Corridor and North-South routes.

Bayramov emphasized that expanding transit capacity to increase the economic efficiency of trade routes should go hand in hand with infrastructure financing, modernized border crossings and seamless logistics.

Highlighting the importance of implementing the TRIPP framework to ensure an unobstructed connection between mainland Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Bayramov said this implementation would increase economic diversification, attract strategic investment and create new jobs across the wider region.
