Metsola: The world still remembers the place where everything changed on September 11
Brussels, September 11 () - European Parliament President Roberta Metsola commemorated those who lost their lives in the September 11 terrorist attacks and the heroes who ran toward danger during the attacks to save the lives of others, on the 25th anniversary of the attacks.
European Parliament President Roberta Metsola issued a statement on the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks carried out in the United States on September 11, 2001. Metsola said that even though 25 years have passed since the attacks, what happened has not been forgotten, stating: “Twenty-five years later, the world still remembers the place where everything changed.”
Metsola commemorated those who lost their lives in the September 11 attacks and the families they left behind, while also highlighting the courage of those who ran toward danger during the attacks to save lives. Metsola said: “Time stands still around the memory of September 11, 2001. We remember those who lost their lives, the families left behind, and the extraordinary courage of the heroes who ran toward danger so that others could live.”
At the end of her statement, Metsola said she honored all those who lost their lives in the September 11 attacks, adding: “Today, we honor them all. Europe remembers.”
