Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session.

According to a statement by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, Netanyahu emphasized during the meeting the importance of the strategic partnership between Israel and Greece for regional stability. Netanyahu also expressed his satisfaction with Greece’s preference for Israeli defense systems.

The meeting addressed regional developments as well as cooperation in the energy sector. The two leaders also reviewed preparations for a new trilateral summit planned with Southern Cyprus.
